This is one of the best tours in which I have experienced! Marta is an excellent tour guide who knows how to narrate an excellent story while sharing her knowledge about the place, its salient features, as well as funny tidbits. She is quite the professional, with a strong sense of empathy and affinity. While our travel delays forced the tour to begin late, Marta willingly accommodated us and was never concerned about the delay. She hit it off great with our entire family, including our three teens!

We hired Marta to take us on a 7 hour Lisbon tour. Marta was very personable. Her car was spotless...her driving was excellent...her English was perfect. We started out with a driving tour of Lisbon. Marta would pull over when she wanted to point out something specific or that sight required a more detailed explanation. We really learned so much about the history and the people....it's amazing how much knowledge she shares. We went to the tile museum and then to a shop to paint tiles. This was a rainy day so it was perfect for being in a car. We went to see the sights in Belem and of course stop at the Pasterie de Belem. Great day spent with a great guide.

Marta was outstanding! By far one of the best guides we have ever had. She gave us a great overview of the city, insight into current politics and major issues facing the citizens. We learned so much and had a wonderful time with her. (she even seemed to have the ability to make parking spaces open just as we arrived at each site!) We wish we could give her 10 stars!

Excellent cooking class with Marta. We had 8 people in 4 different households online but Marta included us all She was very friendly and clear both in the pre tour instructions and during the class We cooked Pasteis de nata with her for an hour and a half and they were delicious.

Marta gave us an outstanding virtual tour of Lisbon in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic! She was friendly, entertaining, and thorough. She gave us 360 degree views when appropriate, and pointed out details both in the distance and nearby. Marta answered our questions and followed up with tips for a visit we hope to make in the future. Her advice was that which only a local can provide. Her description of the tour on the web site was fully delivered and more. We have no hesitation in recommending her!

I have been neglectful in taking so long to write this review, but it's well deserved. We ended up in Lisbon on what was basically an extended layover until our evening flight to Spain. The original plan was that after getting a little sleep, we wanted to see what we could of Lisbon. Unfortunately, the airline lost our luggage, and we didn't get as much sleep as we had hoped. Luckily, we had booked Marta as our guide. After meeting us at our hotel, and explaining what had happened, she immediately offered to call TAP airlines (it helps having a Portuguese speaker) to help try to locate our luggage. Toward the end of our tour she made sure that we were able to stop & pick up some toiletries to get us through until our luggage showed up. More importantly, in the midst of the luggage drama, she took us to see all the highlights of Lisbon (a beautiful place we'd like to see more of) & to try out local food specialties. As a driver/guide, she was able to take us all over the city and was able to explain the historical importance of everything we saw. At the end of the tour, we stopped back at the hotel, grabbed our luggage, and she dropped us off at the airport. We absolutely would take more tours with Marta when we return to Lisbon.

We had a fantastic time gaining a true flavour of Lisbon and Portugal as Marta taught us to make Pastéis de Nata. Our group was spread over three locations and we all managed to produce delicious results at the end of the two hours! Marta's instructions were clear, fun and well-paced, and the cookery lesson was filled with information about Lisbon and the surrounding area, with lots of interesting history, photos and food tips thrown in. We can't wait to enjoy Pastéis de Nata with Marta and do one of her tours face to face in Lisbon!

Dear Marta, thank you for the tour, we did enjoy it very much! It was our new-normal teambuilding:-) We can't imagine, how difficult is to speak, walking down the street, and managing the camera... We are still shocked, that in Lisbon, there is impossible to buy coffee-to-go due to lockdown. The town is beautiful and we hope, that we will be able to visit Lisbon soon. We had a wonderful afternoon with Marta. Three of us enjoyed wandering through the neighborhoods soaking in all the tidbits Marta shared, from the current political and cultural climate to Lisbon's rich history. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer. The tour was customized for us as we told her we planned to make the tastings be our lunch. We meandered through the neighborhoods and ended up at the Time Out Market where we got to try cod cakes and local wines. The pastry stop after that was an extra treat. All delicious. The bonus was getting insider tips on the neighborhoods, which extended to places outside of the city as well. This tour was a highlight of the trip!

Excellent! We felt we really "saw" Lisbon virtually. We were all the more impressed because not only did Marta cheerfully engage us constantly, she was a one-person production crew while walking and pointing the camera. The tiny hiccup (bad internet at the beginning) was quickly cleared up and didn't interrupt the feel of the tour at all. We would highly recommend this tour with Marta as a getaway. It was our first livestream tour and based on this we will definitely be doing more.

We really enjoyed our 5-star morning walk with Marta. Now, that we've been there virtually, it's for sure, we have go to Lisbon to taste the Pastel de Nata tartes, and to experience the city in person. Warm recommendation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Marta of Belém Tower, Jerome monastery and cathedral, and the monument to the Discoverers. The sweet finish was a delicious stop for the special Belém pasteis da nata and other treats. Marta was welcoming with interesting and informative explanations that brought the history of the Belém area alive.

My granddaughter and I did a 4 hour walking tour of Lisbon with Marta. It was a rainy and windy day and we thought Marta would have to cancel the tour. I could not believe when Marta called and said she had been able to get a vehicle to keep our tour date even though we wouldn't be walking everywhere. Marta came through for us. She was so knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. I highly recommend this lovely lady for any of her tours.

Marta was a wonderful guide. I learn portuguese and asked Marta to conduct the excursion in portuguese. That was a great combination of history and culture. Marta took us around Lisbon in lockdown. She was knowledgeable, passionate and made the tour so much fun! It really did feel like we were having a walking tour (though obviously we missed out on Pastéis de Belém - custard tarts!) It was so refreshing to have a "trip" to a new place, definitely recommended!!!

COVID cancelled our trip to Portugal from New Zealand. We needn’t have worried because Marta made us feel like we were there after all. The technology worked perfectly Marta was friendly cheerful generous with her time and so knowledgeable. One day we hope to get to Lisbon and have an in person tour with her.
